Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in the Dominican Republic, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the navigation and maps app landscape in the Dominican Republic saw varied performance across the top five apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Google Maps experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at around 11.3K in late July. Despite a dip in early September, downloads rose again to approximately 9.7K by the end of the quarter. The app maintained a robust user base, with active users remaining around 2.1M throughout the period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed consistent download activity, averaging between 7.6K and 9K weekly. Active users hovered around 500K, with a notable increase to over 539K in late August, before stabilizing at approximately 523K by quarter's end.

Google Earth saw a steady rise in downloads, culminating at about 3.3K in the final week of September. Active users, however, showed a slight decline from 11.1K to 7.7K over the quarter.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer experienced a notable increase in downloads mid-quarter, reaching 1.8K in late August. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at over 3K in early September before settling back to around 2.4K.

World Explorer 3D: Live Map had an initial surge in downloads, peaking at 5.5K in July, but saw a dramatic decrease thereafter. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 5.5K and gradually declining to just over 2.2K by the end of September.
